Final Financial Analysis Axia College University of Phoenix Financial Analysis is very important to the inner workings of a business. Keep track of financial statements, taxes, audits, and various other areas of financials will show how well a company has done, is doing, and how well it will do in the future. Seeing how well a company is doing into the future is important so they can see any mistakes and try to fix them before they become an issue and hinder the growth of the company. I will perform and show the testing of the current ratio for the PepsiCo. and Coca Cola company for the year 2005. The Current Ratio for PepsiCo. Inc. 2005 Current Assets 10,454 divided by Current Liabilities 9,406 = 1.11 So the current ratio is: Current assets are 111% of current liabilities. Current Ratio for Coca-Cola Company 2005 Current Assets 10,250 divided by Current Liabilities 9,836 = 1.04 So the current ratio is: Current assets are 104% of current liabilities. The Solvency Ratio measures the ability of a company to survive over a long period of time (2010). This is important to investors, lean holders, and long term creditors. There are two ways of figuring out how to perform a solvency ratio test for a company, one is the debt to total assets ratio, another is the times interest earned. I will perform the debt to total assets ratio for both company’s. This is done by dividing the total debt by the total assets. Definition Essay on Value of Recreation Value of Recreation People often talk about benefits that people get from work and how it is bad not to work, or do it not diligently. I agree with them, but think that apart from praising work, we shouldn’t underestimate recreation and what one can gain from it. I will try to describe its advantages and disadvantages in details. There are two extremes into which people shouldn’t fall: idleness and workaholism. Both of them bring more harm than good to the person and his/her surrounding. In the first case people don’t do anything except hanging around and doing nothing useful. They usually have bad academic record when at school or university, and can’t find job that would suit them in adulthood. It is all about their laziness. The second variant is also destructive for people, as in this case they do nothing but work and can’t get real joy from life. They usually have problems with personal life, can’t find soulmates, friends and create happy families. Thus, it is evident that both situations are harmful and shouldn’t have place in your life if you want to be happy and healthy. Only if you succeed to find the work you really love, you will feel complete. And only when you find a way to balance recreation and work, you will be happy and content with your life. On balance, one shouldn’t underestimate the value of recreation and should always use free time to recreate strength and clear up mind and prepare for future prosperous work. This is a real and working recipe of happiness, which has already proved to be effective. I hope I will also succeed to find this balance and will be really satisfied with my life.

Q3: Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a decline in cognitive function that does not meet the standards of dementia but is worse than what is expected for the patient’s age and educational background (Petersen et al., 1999). While a patient with MCI is at increased (10-20%) risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease (AD) compared to the normal population, it is not necessary to classify patients as having MCI until they develop any further preclinical AD symptoms (Petersen et al., 1999). The diagnostic criteria for MCI includes: (1) impaired in memory that is greater than expected for age and general cognition is not effected (2) capable of performing daily activities and (3) not demented (Albert et al., 2011; Petersen et al., 1999).†¦show more content†¦When AD is suspected, patients will undergo MRI, PET Scans, and lumbar punctures to look for brain atrophy, beta-amyloid plaques, or increased phosphorylated tau in cerebral spinal fluid (Hyman et al., 2012). The two main biomarkers of AD are beta-amyloid (AÃŽ ²) and tau and are highly debated in regards to their function in AD pathophysiology. The production of beta-amyloid plaques may be due to improper functioning of the proteasome preventing the breakdown of AÃŽ ². Support for this theory comes from research indicating that the 20S proteasome is responsible for AÃŽ ² degradation and that alterations to the kinetics of the proteasome increased AÃŽ ² levels (Zhao Yang, 2010). These accumulated levels of AÃŽ ² plaques leads to lower levels of soluble AÃŽ ², which is needed for memory formation. This may occur through activation of nicotinic acetylcholine (ACh) receptors and AChE levels are drastically reduced in AD patients. (Garcia-Osta Alberini, 2009). The microtubule stabilizing protein tau may become hyper-phosphorylated in AD due to the presence of high levels of AÃŽ ². Hoshi et al (1996) showed that AÃŽ ² exposure to rat hippocampal neurons in vitro produced increased levels of the tau kinase GSK-3 (glycogen synthase kinase 3) which in turn hyper-phosphorylated tau leading to cellular death. I felt the paper was boring and did not keep my attention while reading each short story. The most noticeable mistake was that the paper did a plot summary for each story and never provided a conclusion or a position in any of the stories. This essay followed most of the literary rules of writing, Although, I found the plot summaries for this essay to be boring as well. I really liked reading the comparative analysis ND the writer’s position for each of the short stories. The writer gave us their view of why they felt each character made the decisions that were made for each story from the ir point of view. Unlike â€Å"Initiation into Adulthood† the writer for â€Å"Hard Choices† uses present tense verbs when writing about the short stories. The writer used the necessary resources to support their view of the stories which made the writer seem reliable. The conclusion for this essay was dead on and summarizes the short stories completely and was cohesive with the rest of the essay. Am not really into literature and I don’t think I am a very good writer. Hopefully, that will change after this semester. I think something that would make both essays easier to read would be eliminating the plot summaries. Like novels and in most movies the reader/viewer does not want to have the plot given to them in the beginning.
